If you've been watching Indian Idol since the beginning then you know that there have been a lot of talented singers who have come on the show. The singing reality competition first aired in 2004 and since then we've seen a lot of Indian Idol winners. The show encourages people from all over the country to showcase their talents in front of the Indian Idol judges as well as the rest of the world. Not only do the winners take home the coveted title, but they'll also be granted a contract music album. On top of that, they'll also be bringing home prize money and even a car. Sunny mostly sang Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's songs during the competition which netted him the trophy. The Indian Idol 11 winner from Bhatinda took home the trophy along with prize money of Rs 25 Lakh, a car, and an exclusive singing contract with T-Series. He wowed the judges and the rest of India with his soul-soothing voice from day one of the contest. We can expect big things from him moving forward. Salman Ali won the 10th season of the renowned singing competition and reality show Indian Idol. He comes from Haryana's Mewat and impressed the audience with his breathtaking performances throughout the whole season. The judges of the show including Anu Malik, Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani, and Javed Ali had nothing but praise for him. After winning the contest, he made his debut as a playback singer in Jai He for Satellite Shankar as well as in Awara for Dabangg 3.
Sourabhee Debbarma was the first woman to win Indian Idol during its fourth season. But that's not the only thing that's interesting about her, she's also a Guinness World Record holder. Since winning the competition, she's performed all over the world including Hong Kong, Nigeria, New York, London, and many other places. Her debut album 'Meharbaan' was even nominated in the Global Indian Music Awards in 2010. As for her Guinness World Record, she holds the record for singing non-stop suspended upside down for 4 minutes and 30 seconds. Now, that's just amazing!
Sreerama Chandra Mynampati is the first person from South India to win Indian Idol. He went home with a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh, a TATA Winger, and a music album contract. Since his win, he has been a well-renowned singer down south and has done playback singing for a number of Bollywood films. He has sung for a lot of movies like Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Khiladi 786, and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. He has also debuted as an actor in a Telugu film titled 'Jagadguru Adi Sankara.'
Lolla Venkata Revanth Kumar Sharma or simply known as L.V Revanth is the Indian Idol's 9th season winner. His success story is unlike any other. Before he even won Indian Idol, he participated in several other singing competitions like Rock Star, Spicy Singer on Maa TV, and Superstar of the South where he won all contests. Since then, he has sung over 200 Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi songs. Most of the songs that he sings are quite popular in the Telugu industry.
Prashant Tamang won the third season of Indian Idol. After winning the competition, he launched his maiden album called 'Dhanyavad' which consisted mostly of Nepali and Hindi songs. Afterward, he tried his hand at acting and was involved in several Nepali films. His first Nepali movie titled 'Gorkha Paltan' was released in 2010. He is one of the most popular singers as well as actors in all of Nepal.
