Disney+ is launching soon and everyone excited about this new streaming platform, especially The Mandalorian. We know Pedro Pascal plays the famed Mandalorian bounty hunter but there are more characters that we wish we could see. In this list, we feature the top characters fans want to see in The Mandalorian.
One of the most anticipated things with the upcoming Rise of the Skywalker movie is the apparent return of Emperor Palpatine. Though Darth Vader might be the villainous face of the franchise, Palpatine will be the master behind all the evil works of the Dark side. The Mandalorian could possibly give answers to all the questions about his death and apparent return, which fans are surely excited about.
Chewbacca is one of the more famous characters in the whole Star Wars universe. This wookie from the Kashyyyk planet is rarely seen on his own without Han Solo, but it might be interesting to see him in a new way. This character also seems to not age and seems to be flexible enough to appear in different timelines of the whole saga. Though he might not play that huge of a role, fans would still pay attention if ever he gives a cameo appearance.
Boba Fett might be the most popular bounty hunter in the Star Wars universe, there is plenty of love for this lizard-like bounty hunter known as Bossk. Being a fan favorite, he's been around for quite some time in the Star Wars saga. The Mandalorian feels like the perfect place for him to finally get to show off a bit considering that he is also a bounty hunter. This means he could develop a small rivalry with The Mandalorian himself, and fans would surely want to see that.
Star Wars fans know that Snoke was a formidable threat in The Force Awakens, however, his shocking death in The Last Jedi seemed to have left the audience hanging. Even though it looks like his time is done in the new trilogy, The Mandalorian could be an avenue to explore his origins. Snoke might not be the most important character out there but isn't it nice to know more about him if ever he gets some screen time in The Mandalorian.
Just like any other character in the Star Wars universe, lots of fans want to know more about Maz Kanata. As for his being, there are a lot more questions thrown about than answers. Maz is someone sympathetic to the Rebels and seems to have a lot of stories to tell. The Mandalorian could be the chance we want to shed light on Maz Kanata's true intentions, including how she came to possess Luke Skywalker's old lightsaber.
With the most famous galactic gangster, Jabba the Hutt, dead, it seems perfect that his son Rotta took the spotlight. Given that Rotta has not been seen on screen, it would present a great opportunity for the series to depict a totally new version of the Hutt. Plus, the narrative of bounty hunters and Hutts seem to fit perfectly together, don't you think?
The new trilogy of films has opened up a lot of mysteries for Star Wars fans to uncover and one of the biggest questions includes the identity of Lor San Tekka. This man has obvious long-standing ties to the Rebels and appears in the open scene of The Force Awakens, before being quickly killed. Though his backstory has been somewhat explored in the expanded universe, The Mandalorian could be the perfect place to answer the most lingering questions that could lead to enlightenment regarding his demise.
The Mandalorian is confirmed to be set after the fall of the Empire and before the formation of the First Order, and though seeing Luke, Leia or Han might be unlikely but an appearance by Lando Calrissian is at least possible. Lando feels like he fits just right with this timeline of events in the expanded universe and an appearance could help explain where he was before his return in Rise of the Skywalker
