The Mandalorian is nearly upon us and brings with it live-action TV adaptation of some of the memorable characters in the Star Wars universe. We've asked ourselves what comes next? To ponder that question, we've made a list of top Star Wars characters that deserve to have their own shows after The Mandalorian. Check it out below.
Yoda might have been an obvious choice here but it doesn't change the fact that the wise and powerful legendary Jedi Master deserved much more than what has been told in the movies. There is so much more to his story that definitely warrants its own TV show.
The story of the Skywalkers are pretty much spread across the entire Star Wars universe and could be found in more stories. Given that fact, isn't it about time that Princess Leia got her time in the limelight given that she's related to Luke and all?
Chewie has always been portrayed as more of an incredibly expressive supporting character and one half of the dynamic duo between him and Han Solo. It was hinted that he was actually part of the Clone Wars before and with that fact, comes the opportunity to explore his past in his own show.
We've already seen Mace Windu perish at the hands of Emperor Palpatine on Naboo. Or did we? We did see him get thrown out but there was never really any indication of what happened next. If plausible that he survived the fall and opens up a nice little window to explore that possibility in a show.
Qui-Gon Jinn has been an interesting character since he first appeared in The Phantom Menace. It was apparent early on that he was a unique even among the Jedi Masters on how he accepts both sides of The Force and denying neither one. The fact that he places himself on equal sides of it is enough to make a show about it.
Qui-Gon Jinn was such an interesting character, to begin with, but now imagine what it would be like to know more about Count Dooku, the person who trained him. We would get to see how this once great Jedi Master turned to the Dark Side and his motivations for doing so.
Lando Calrissian has appeared in a lot of Star Wars movies in the past yet has somehow managed to remain such a mystery through it all. He one of those characters that you just love to hate and see more of and besides, it's about time we see what the Calrissian Chronicles is all about already.
Chirrut did not have a lot of screentime during Rogue One but together with Baz became one of the highlights of that movie. Now, despite meeting his end during the events of the movie, there is still a possibility to explore his story as well as Baz's on a show and explore how they ended up guarding the Jedi Temple in the first place.
